Raúl Lázaro is a visual artist Madrid based. After the completion of Architecture, he moved Rotterdam, Bogotá and the Canary Islands exploring different environments to develop projects and find another ways to approach to forms and design.
''He cuts and pastes thoughts''
His works cover a wide range of fields: typography, editorial, graphics, objects, branding. With really simple elements he sends us clear messages that catch our attention. In his studio the exhibitions and the commercial works live together when sometimes matter traces and graphic lines are touching. He cuts and pastes thoughts that teleport us anywhere we want, to the no ground, to the surreal, to the unknown world from above.
I love the placement, thought and choices Lazaro made in these pieces of work. The colours work so effectively, complimenting and contrasting one another. The element of fun and playfulness is so enticing and intriguing throughout his works.
The use of line, shape and symbols is really interesting, how the small details work on a massive scale and add another meaning to the pieces.
Comical, humoured imagery works really well, changing your mood as you see it.
'PERFECT PLACEMENT OF SHAPES'
Love the element of photography.
