Final designs in context

Here are my 6 Final Wallpaper Designs put into the contexts I imagine them to work best in. I hope you see a really link between each design and how it could become a small collection if it went into production. I really enjoyed the process of creating these design and exploring the possibilities within contemporary wallpapers. I can see all my designs working as feature walls. My designs are fairly full on compared to what is currently out in the industry, which is why I think consumers would have my wallpapers on one wall of a room, rather than all over. It is also becoming increasingly popular to  have 1 feature wall and the rest of the room painted in a colour from the wallpaper.

This design has always been a strong success out of my digital designs. I think the colours within it work really effectively and work much better at this larger scale seen below. The use of the white background allows the design to not be 'too' much a repeat. I had previously added a background colour which worked well as one repeat but once put into full repeat, became too much for a wallpaper.

This perspex final piece is a personal favourite of mine. I love the bright, bold colours which actually work really well within a kitchen environment. I feel kitchens are usually the place where consumers become more restricted and feel they have to be 'practical' and safe with the style of kitchen they had. I think this design highlights how you can really easily brighten up and allow more creativity into a room which is usually fairly bland. Introducing pattern into cabinets doors and using splashes of colour to make the room appear for playful and fun. I was thinking about how this could work in industry and how I could tailor each designs to the customers preference. I could offer a more bespoke designing service where the consumer could choose the colours, type of pattern and scale used within the design.

I believe this colour combination below works really effectively, complementing each other as well as contrasting well. The room setting I chose to set it in also improves the overall look of the piece. The tan leather sofa complements in colours within the wallpaper and actually brings them out slightly more. I can use lots of plants and natural elements being used within the room, with my wallpaper in. I like the idea of having my more contemporary designs, alongside organic plants and greenery.

I also love this design and the continuation of the design onto the drawers. I thought about introduce other interior products such a cushions and even storage cabinets, which would use the same design as the wallpaper. This is something I haven't seen done before and maybe a possible gap in the market.
