I spent the weekend in between my placement exploring London. I had heard from the girls at O&K that the Sonia Delaunay exhibition at the Tate was really worth going to. I had heard and come across the works of Delaunay before and thought it would be a great opportunity for me to see her work. As it turned out I really loved her work. The vibrancy of colour, the clean, expressive shapes and the bold patterns in Delaunay's work really inspired me. Colour plays a key part in my own work and is something I always try and explore further. I grasped fairly quickly that Delaunay had a liking for circles. A lot of her work involves circles and circular patterns.
